Botanical Name: Hemerocallis Description: Velvety petals are generously ruffled, a rich black cherry color that accentuates a bright apple green nectary. The American Hemerocallis Society honored ‘Ed Murray’ with the Stout Medal, its highest award, as well as the Lenington All American Award for best performance over a wide geographic area. This vigorous daylily grows 30” high, and produces its 4” blooms on strong stems throughout mid-summer. It makes an ideal addition to the mid-border, and dazzles in a mixed perennial bed. This variety is also perfect for potting in containers for a dramatic display on porch or patio. The intense color never fades, even in full sun, but it also performs well in partial shade. Our premium are already thriving in one-quart containers when they’re shipped in spring, primed to deliver a spectacular show come summer.
