Botanical Name: Astilbe japonica Description: Rich green, glossy foliage beautifully showcases the rosy pink plumes of this shade garden favorite. It grows in dense mounds only 9-12” high, and the feathery flowers dance above it on red-tinged, upright stems up to 2’ tall. Blooms are long-lasting in the early summer border, and last just as well in cut flower arrangements. ‘Rheinland’ astilbe shines in any woodland garden, and can be planted in mixed containers for a disarming splash of color on a shady porch or patio. We ship premium plants already established in one-quart containers, primed to produce a spectacular display. Ships: Between 4/26/2012 and 06/01/2012 Bloom Time: Early Summer Color: Pink Foliage Color: Green Height: 12-24" Sun Requirements: Full Shade and Partial Shade Type/Size: Quart Hardiness Zone: 4,5,6,7,8
