Botanical: Chamaecyparis pisifera
Description: A slow growing globe or broad pyramid with bright golden, thread-like evergreen foliage. Unlike some varieties, this plant holds its bright yellow color nicely through the summer. Prefers moist, loamy, well-drained, lime-free soil and humid climates. Best in sunny open conditions. Compact. Deer resistant. Little care is needed. Trim in early spring. Excellent in foundation plantings and as an accent plant. Grows 2 ½-3 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide.
