Botanical: Chamaecyparis obtusa Description: Fan-shaped bright green evergreen foliage has very appealing texture. This is a broad, low, conical false cypress that is slightly faster growing than other varieties. An excellent specimen plant. Prefers moist, well-drained soil and moderately humid climates. Protect from wind. Little pruning is needed, but may be trimmed to shape in early spring. Deer resistant. Excellent as a specimen planting. Grows 8-12 feet tall and 7-8 feet wide.
