Botanical: Rubus Description: The first of the thornless blackberries, Navaho grows only 4 to 5 feet high, so you don't need a trellis to support the canes or a ladder to harvest the berries at the top. The plants are hardy, vigorous, and produce loads of fruit over a month-long harvest period in July and August. The berries are big (up to an inch long), juicy, and sweet—perfect for fresh eating, superb in pies or cobblers. Plant them this spring and enjoy home-grown berries for years.
