It grows 4 to 5 feet tall and opens wheat-colored, feathery flower plumes in early summer. Very good choice and one of our favorites. Prefers full sun to partial shade and is a great subject for borders. Medium growth rate. Growing tips: Grasses are easy
to grow, and adapts to most conditions. Feed once a year with a slow
release fertilizer in the spring at a 3-1-2 or 4-1-2 ratio). Mulch with
organic material in the fall to protect roots and shoots from freezing.
Grasses that die back completely in the winter can be cut back in the
very early spring to rejuvenate the plant and evergreen varieties which
survive the winter should only be cleaned up by removing dead growth. Height: 4-5 feet Spread: 3 feet Attributes: Container, deer resistant, drought tolerant, erosion control, evergreen, specimen
