Botanical Name: Montbretia Description: Includes 5 each of Emily McKenzie, George Davidson, and Lucifer.
Emily McKenzie: This crocosmia isn’t a heavy bloomer its first year, but its iris-like foliage
is attractive. Emily McKenzie is a long lived plant and by its second year
rewards your patience with a July through August display of glowing orange
blossoms with red throats. Flowers carried on arching stems above the foliage
at 28 to 36 inches. Plant in full sun and in well-drained soil and enjoy a
late-summer show for many years.
George Davidson: Universally regarded as the best yellow crocosmia, for the radiance of its
golden yellow blossoms, their size, and their plentiful numbers. The plants are
easy to grow, reach 16 inches or more in height, and bloom from late summer into
the fall. Flowers are carried on slender stems and excellent for cutting. We
ship premium 8-9 cm. Bulbs that assure strong growth and a spectacular bloom.
Lucifer: Crocosmia Lucifer provides a splash of color in your garden in late summer into fall with its brilliant red flowers and deep green leaves. Eye catching and great for cut flowers. Grows 2-3 feet.
