Botanical Name: Caladium hortulanum
Description: Miss Muffet is popular and can frequently be found attending garden parties.  Her leaves are large, a bit ruffled, and have a chartreuse base accented by a deep red center with pink veins radiating outward from it.  As a final touch, the leaves are liberally covered with maroon spots.  The plants are low-growing, compact, and bushy.  In pots they form round mounds of foliage and can be grown in hanging planters.  In the garden, they are useful in small spaces or for fronting borders.  Wherever you plant Miss Muffet, she is so colorful and intriguing all who see her are compelled to stop for a long, appreciative look.
