Description: Current-day hybridizers are focused on fantastic color combinations in patterns that are sophisticated and satisfying to the eye.  Gingerland achieves this goal spectacularly.  A clean white center and veins are surrounded by a light green base color, trimmed on the outer edges with dark green and randomly with cranberry red spots.  Gingerland has other virtues as well.  Plants reach only 10 to 15 inches high but have a nice bushy habit.  The variegated leaves are the lance-type, but wide enough to blur the line.  Gingerland is sun tolerant but prefers dappled shade.  A great selection for growing in patio containers or portable pots.  Especially spectacular as a ground-cover or filler in a shady corner of the yard.
