Botanical Name: Caladium hortulanum
Height: 6 to 12 inches
Description: Bred to have thicker leaves for full sun tolerance (as long as its soil is kept wet), but Florida Sweetheart still grows best in full or partial shade.  The lance leaves are a rose red with darker red main veins and a dark green border.  The plants grow quickly to a height of 6 to 12 inches and are quite bushy.  Pot them or plant as a groundcover to fill shady nooks with cool color that lasts all summer.
