Botanical Name: Tulipa Description: Casa Grande is a very large-flowered Greigii Hybrid. The blooms are 5 to 6 inches in diameter and a vibrant red that will knock your socks off. The flowers are carried on 14- to 16-inch stems over beautifully mottled foliage that makes the plants of value in the landscape even before they are in bloom. Stripes and spots of brown and purple decorate the leaves and give them a hosta-like look. Casa Grande is well suited for many landscape roles: container growing, rock gardens, fronting mixed bulb beds and borders, or scattered for a wildflower effect. They bloom at mid spring and are fully naturalizing bulbs that come back year after year in greater numbers, even if you ignore them.
