Botanical Name: Muscari botryoides Description: Superstar is a modern hybrid, not an heirloom plant as are most Muscari. The flowers are densely packed atop strong stalks. Their color is a pretty periwinkle blue with a crowning little cluster of pale, almost white, florets. Bloom time is April into May. The plants are short (only 4 to 6 inches), but well suited for growing in pots and planters. In the garden, use them for rock gardens, large natural drifts, or dotted here and there on a lawn.
