Description: Introduced over a century ago, this perennial favorite has long been gracing gardens with its spectacular displays of deep purple, 2-4” flowers with creamy stamens.  When at the height of bloom, the plant is often fully covered with flowers.  Blooms in June and July, and grows to 10’ or 12' tall.
