Botanical Name: Iris Ensata Description: Splendid in form and color. It’s stiff, upright blades of foliage attractively showcase the blooms that open above them on long stems. Flowers are large and have lovely form and delicate coloring – a soft white marked with lavender-pink veins and merging to purple at its ruffled edges. Flowers open in early summer. It grows easily in either full sun or partial shade, and the plants are very hardy and long-lived. Captivating in any garden setting, but especially effective beside a pond, and great for marshy locations where other plants have difficulty.
