Description: A new Tangutica variety, My Angel has a number of virtues that recommend its landscape use.  First are its colorful nodding flowers.  The petals are yellow on the inner sides, red/purple on the outer, and have a creamy trim along the edges.  It also boasts a long season of bloom, from August into October.  Following bloom, very ornamental seed heads extend the show.  Another feature is compact growth.  Though a strong grower, it only reaches about 8 feet, making it suitable for situations where larger clematis would have to be cut back frequently.  If you're looking for a climbing vine that is new and novel, grow My Angel now because it is sure to quickly grow in popularity.
