It grows in sunny or shady locations, and produces lovely deep bell flowers on strong stems that curve at the top so the flower is suspended. The blossoms are bicolor--a soft purple with bright yellow petal tips. It grows 8 to 10 inches tall, blooms in late spring, and is a perfect choice for rock gardens, or to plant in groups in woodland settings. It naturalizes to increase in number each year.
