It has a compact habit, growing 9 to 18 inches high and wide. The foliage is lacy and has a bluish tint that becomes more pronounced as the summer progresses. It produces lovely heart-shaped pendant flowers on arching stems, a first big flush in late spring, and then continues to bloom occasionally through November, especially if spent flowers are removed.
