Pre-Chilled Bulbs

Tulips:
Plant bulbs so neck is at soil level. Water thoroughly. Place in an area that has consistent 48 degree temperatures for about 3 weeks - a darker area is better (until the roots are established) then move to a temperature of about 41 degrees until sprouts have formed approximately 1" above soil. (amount of time can vary so make sure you're checking the sprouting stage weekly) Move plants then to 34 degrees for the balance of cooling period - a total of 14 weeks is optimum. During the entire cooling period make sure the pots are kept moist. Take out of the cooling area and place in windowsill or lighted area for final flowering.

Daffodils:

Take out of the cooling area and place in windowsill or lighted area for final flowering (note: Hyacinths can cause a temporary skin itch - to help alleviate this use gloves when handling and/or wash hands immediately after planting.)

Dwarf Iris and Grape Hyacinths & crocus:
Plant bulbs so bulbs are slightly below the soil level. Water thoroughly. Place in an area that has consistent 48 degree temperatures for about 3 weeks - a darker area is better (until the roots are established) then move to a temperature of about 41 degrees until sprouts have formed approximately 1" above soil. (amount of time can vary so make sure you're checking the sprouting stage weekly) Move plants then to 34 degrees for the balance of cooling period - a total of 15 -16 weeks is optimum. During the entire cooling period make sure the pots are kept moist. Take out of the cooling area and place in windowsill or lighted area for final flowering
